iRest® Yoga Nidra

iRest®  Yoga Nidra is a research based practice of deep relaxation and nervous system release that allows all of us living high demand lives to de-stress and perform at optimal levels. It was developed by Richard Miller, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist, author and researcher.

Extensive science and brain research has demonstrated that iRest® Yoga Nidra:

  • Increases energy, a sense of control, confidence, and joy.
  • Increases sound sleep, peace and well-being.
  • Decreases stress, anxiety, chronic pain, and depression.

Having received advanced training from the Integrative Restoration Institute and Richard Miller, Hallie has been teaching iRest® Yoga Nidra  to groups and individuals across the country. Additionally, Hallie teaches a continuing legal education course entitled Integrative Restoration® Yoga Nidra for Lawyers. Attorneys receive CLE credits in certain states.

iRest® Yoga Nidra for Lawyers

iRest® Yoga Nidra for Lawyers has been approved by certain state bars for continuing legal education credits. The CLE course addresses the challenges to lawyers in managing daily and extraordinary mental and physical demands by introducing the practical self-care tool called Integrative Restoration® Yoga Nidra (www.iRest.us) as a preventive and proactive approach to finding and maintaining a healthy quality of life and balance and preventing substance abuse and/or burnout throughout a successful legal career.  It is designed to help attorneys living high demand lives to perform at optimal levels and to improve subjective well-being and positivism.

iRest® Yoga Nidra was developed by Richard Miller, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist, author and researcher who worked with the military to bring this tool to Walter Reed Medical Center and other U.S. military settings to help soldiers and veterans heal from post traumatic stress, depression, insomnia, chronic pain and other stress-related issues.  Extensive scientific research has demonstrated that iRest® Yoga Nidra increases energy, confidence, happiness, and a sense of control and peace. The iRest® Yoga Nidra protocol is currently being used across a wide array of settings including military, VA, chemical dependency centers, hospitals, colleges and many others.

iRest® Yoga Nidra for Everybody

If stress, insomnia or physical or emotional pain are your daily companions or those of the people you work with, Hallie can help  with iRest® Yoga Nidra, an evidence based practice of deep relaxation and nervous system release.

In iRest® Yoga Nidra your brain waves slow, your body is fully and deeply relaxed and your mind is in a conscious state of restful alertness where thoughts cease and you experience the effects of three to four hours of sleep in less than thirty minutes. You wake up clear headed and ready to resume your workday. The effects also produce a continued state of well being and sound sleep at night.

In research studies, iRest® Yoga Nidra has been shown to increase serotonin, dopamine and oxytocin, the “feel good” chemicals of the brain, and reduce toxic cortisol release during stress, resulting in significantly lower levels of anxiety, depression and anger.

iRest® Yoga Nidra was developed by Richard Miller, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist, who worked with the military to bring it to  Walter Reed Medical Center and other U.S. military settings to help soldiers and veterans heal from post traumatic stress, depression, insomnia, chronic pain and other stress related issues.

Stress, past trauma or pain interferes with energy levels, clear thinking, creative problem solving and balance in work and relationships. iRest® Yoga Nidra provides you with tools to reduce stress, enhance resilience and reduce pain. Everybody can benefit from the practice of iRest® Yoga Nidra.

Having received advanced training from the Integrative Restoration Institute and Richard Miller, Hallie teaches iRest® Yoga Nidra to therapists, parents, lawyers, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, college students, artists, writers and many groups and individuals across the country.
